You will find out how to make a range of flowers in a wide variety of fabrics, using simple techniques and household tools. Vikki is an experienced tutor and working designer, who has recently completed a commission for the Royal Ballet.

Give new life to much-loved ceramics, whether they are porcelain, pottery, earthenware or stoneware. You will learn to identify ceramics and use safe cleaning methods, how to take apart bad repairs, how to assemble, which adhesives to use, and how to apply final colour and glaze. The tutor is a qualified ceramic conservationist and restorer and an experienced teacher.

Spend a day making corn dollies or ‘idols’. You will learn the four main types; plaits, braids, open spiral weaving and filled spiral weaving. Some of the history of corn dollies will also be covered, from their role in early pagan sacrificial rites through to modern day decorations.
