Jewellery - Beads, Buttons, Wire and Threads

Students will learn to shape and manipulate various forms of jewellery based on the use of jewellery wires to make exciting pieces of wearable jewellery. The tutor will show and teach students how to use a range of expert jewellery making tools and with these new skills will be able to create some simple and elegant jewellery which can be given as gifts or kept to oneself as a treat.

Willow Deer Sculpture

Our Needlework Weekend has become an annual autumn event. Immerse yourself in two days of uninterrupted stitching and learn a wide range of beautiful techniques from published embroiderers and respected tutors Hazel Everett and Pat Trott. Embroider with a variety of different threads using a very broad range of surface stitches and goldwork techniques, with guidance at every stage. This year’s theme is A Touch of Tudor and you will create a lovely scene in needlework, capturing the colours and textures of the 16th century in beautiful threads. Treat yourself to a whole weekend devoted to needlework in the company of experts. (See ‘Skills/Techniques Covered’ for the many stitches offered.)
