Our tutors are selected for their standard of craftsmanship and teaching talent. They are experts and practising craftspeople. Many are award winners, members of professional guilds and known internationally.
Richard has written seven books on drawing, design and embroidery. As well as teaching the 'terrified' and 'petrified' and those who enrol on his textile courses, he gives lectures to branches of the Embroiderers' Guild; Women's Institutes; Probus; WEA; and the National Association of the Fine and Decorative Arts Society. Helen Bull is a qualified saddler and a member of the Society of Saddlers. Her company, HB Saddlery and Leatherwork, specialises in the production of fine-quality bespoke leather goods. See full profile
Elizabeth Cake has collected and worked with vintage fabrics for 20 years. She is a trained pattern cutter and also works as a sub-editor on women's magazines. Elizabeth has taught lampshade making workshops at the Vintage at Goodwood festival and the Victoria and Albert Museum. See full profile
Barbara Chainey is one of the UK’s leading teachers of quilting and is particularly known for her exquisite stitching and original designs as well as the classic book The Essential Quilter. See full profile
