Our tutors are selected for their standard of craftsmanship and teaching talent. They are experts and practising craftspeople. Many are award winners, members of professional guilds and known internationally.
Julie Ferguson taught for 30 years and now designs and knits full time. She submitted her first pattern designs for publication in 2010, and since then has had designs published in Verena (Europe) and several UK magazines. Julie has also designed collections for Artesano and for her own label. See full profile
Michele Floyd is qualified to postgraduate level in Graphics and Illustration and worked for several years in London advertising agencies before moving into graphics and public relations in Europe. On her return to the UK, Michele gained an adult teaching qualification. She went on to teach art and design and painting for many years in further education, from beginner to advanced levels. Rachel Frost makes and supplies historical hats to museums, theatre companies and re-enactors worldwide. Customers include The Globe, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Edwardian Farm. Rachel received the Janet Arnold award for costume study, to research early surviving hats in British collections. See full profile
Kaili Fu has been teaching Chinese brush painting, and painting professionally for more than 30 years. Since her arrival in UK in 1988, she has taught adults and exhibited her work throughout England. She also gives demonstrations in schools and to community groups. Kaili is an experienced adult education tutor with a City and Guilds 7407 teaching certificate. See full profile
Gillian is an experienced qualified teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. She has City and Guilds qualifications in Creative Embroidery and in Art for Craft and Design, as well as a Degree in Biochemistry. She belongs to the Quillos quilting group, and has studied machine embroidery and felting. See full profile
