Sue Pearl

Profile

Sue Pearl has been making felt for more than 16 years and is the author of Making Felt Friends. She originally trained and practised as an interior designer, and came across felt making by accident during research work for her MA at London Guildhall University. Sue has never looked back.

She has been teaching felt for the last 12 years, across Oxfordshire and in London. Sue has taught internationally, in America, Canada, Israel and Australia. She has also given instruction in feltmaking to native North Americans, as part of a women’s small business project. Sue is a member of the International Feltmakers’ Association for which she is Coordinator and Advertising Officer for the London region. She has shown at international and domestic exhibitions and has a piece in the Contemporary Craft Collection at the Museum of Oxfordshire and is currently displaying in a travelling exhibition called Black Sheep.
