Course Bookings
Your Course Fee
Your course fee covers tuition, coffee, cake and a light lunch.
Please note that materials for the course are not included in the fee, unless otherwise stated. The approximate cost of materials is given in the detailed information provided for each course on our website and is also available by phone.
The full fee is payable on booking to secure your place on a course. Bookings and payment can be made online, by phone or by post.
Transfers
You can transfer your place on a course to a friend at any point before the course starts.
You can transfer to a course of your choice in the current calendar year, subject to availability, up to four weeks before the start of the course for which you originally booked, at no extra charge.
Please note that should you need to cancel less than four weeks before the start of a course, your fee cannot be transferred to another course. Our cancellation policy applies.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Student
- If you have to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible.
- If, for any reason, you cancel your booking more than four weeks before the start of the course, the course fee will be refunded, minus the following deposit:
1-day course: £20
2–5-day course: £50 - No refunds can be made to those who cancel within four weeks of the start of the course.
- No reductions or refunds are available to students arriving late or leaving their course early.
Cancellation by the School
Occasionally we may need to cancel a course due to low enrolment. We will give you at least two weeks' notice. If your course is cancelled you can transfer to another course, subject to availability, at no extra charge. Alternatively, we will refund your course fee in full.
If we need to cancel a course for any other reason, you will receive a full refund of your fee and be given as much notice as possible in the circumstances.
In the event of cancellation, the school will not reimburse for materials bought or travel arrangements made.
You might like to consider course cancellation insurance, but do check your home insurance policy first, as this eventuality may well be covered.
Change of Course Content/Tutor
Every effort will be made by the school to run courses as advertised. However, there may be occasions when the school has to change the course detail and/or tutors. If this should happen, the school reserves the right to make these changes; no reductions or refunds are available and our cancellation policy applies.
Seven-Day Cooling-Off Period
A seven-day cooling-off period applies to all bookings by individuals (not groups). If you cancel your booking within the cooling-off period you will be entitled to a full refund (including your deposit), pursuant to the Consumer Protection Regulations. For bookings made by telephone or via our website, the first of these seven days is the day on which the booking is made. For bookings made by post, the cooling-off period begins two days after you send your application form to the school and ends upon the expiry of the following seven-day period. If you make a booking on a date which is less than seven days before the date of the course in question, you agree that the course can be provided before the end of the cooling-off period and that your right to cancel will cease upon the commencement of the course. The school must receive notification of your wish to cancel within the cooling-off period in writing, either by post, by hand or by email.
11th Day Free
If you book 10 days at Ardington School of Crafts, you are entitled to a free day on the course of your choice (subject to availability).
Timeframe – You do not need to book your ten days within a specific period; just keep counting and when you reach 10, call and claim your free day.
Please keep a record of your bookings, so that you don’t miss out. You will need to call to claim your free day (this cannot be done through our website). We will verify your existing bookings and award the free day if applicable.
The free day does not count towards your next 10 days. The 12th day booked is the first one to be counted towards your next free day.
The ‘free day’ is to the value of £65. If you choose a course that costs more than this, you will need to pay the balance in order to book a place on that course.
Days are attributed to the student, not the person who pays for the course.
