The School
Ardington School of Crafts is housed in a lovely Victorian school building. Our workshops are spacious and flooded with natural light. We have views over grazed farmland and an attractive courtyard for sunny days. The surroundings, together with the high quality of tuition, provide a creative and relaxed atmosphere.
Why are we here?
The school exists to help protect and promote the nation’s rich craft legacy and keep endangered crafts alive. Our tutors are experts and practising crafts people who are passionate about passing on their knowledge and skills. We believe that heritage crafts should be sustained for their intrinsic historical, aesthetic and practical worth. We also offer an inspiring range of courses in contemporary crafts, including the modern application of traditional skills.
We are here to encourage the practice of crafts. Some visitors may discover a satisfying and all-consuming pastime; others may take the first step towards a career in crafts.
